GoL SS Build
GoL would be a good skill due to its quick cast, recharge, and decent healing, but the problem used to be energy. You would have to use 2 GoL for 1 WoH, making your energy drain faster. With the new Selfless Spirit, that problem can now be avoided. The advantage of using Selfless Spirit With GoL over WoH is:
a. Bar compression. GoL will be recharged by the end of your aftercast, so you dont need any other healing skills.
b. Spammability. The quick recharge and casting making Glimmer a spammy skill, so you can use it more often. This used to be a problem, but with the new SS its not so big anymore.
So I'm thinking of a bar that looks like this.
Glimmer of Light
Selfess Spirit
Cure Hex
Dismiss Condition
Aegis
Protective Spirit
Blank
Blank
There are many viable for the last to skills options including, but not limited to:
Shield of Absorbtion
Shielding Hands (now it pwns)
Guardian (iffy in pve)
Remove Hex(iffy in pve)
Spirit Bond (alternative to prot spirit)
Any rez such as:
Rebirth
Restore Life
Rez Chant
Rez Signet
And any PvE skills of your choice (almost all of them work OP ftw)

It seems a little more viable now thats for sure, but i think i would still carry WoH, and my reasoning for that is WoH's heal comes in one package while glimmer requires two casts to out heal it (assuming the ally is under 50% health). WoH will also be cheaper, albeit not by much.
The advantage of carrying glimmer of course is bar compression as it can be used as a minor heal (usually patient spirit) aswell as a major heal (WoH), leaving more space for prots/condition/hex removal.
I think its definatly worth looking into though

I've started using Glimmer over WoH for two reasons:
1. Bar compression (as stated) means more room for prots.
2. Cast time. I've had people die before I could get a WoH off. I can glimmer someone a full half second sooner than the WoH healer. It might not fill them up as well, but it'll definitely arrive when I need it to.

Looks good to me have to test it out to confirm. Paper logic and in game logic dont always agree. Will test it out tonight. Shielding hands is buffed but I still dont thinks its earned itself a place on my bar. Well just a point of view.

Even with its 1 sec. recharge, Glimmer is still too slow and weak to be the only spot heal on a hybrid bar.
So if you wanted a Glimmer+SS build, I would run something like this:
-Glimmer
-Kiss/Patient/RoF
-Dismiss
-Cure Hex
-SoA
-PS
-Aegis (PvE "easy button")
-SS
Good, but pretty much the same thing as a standard WoH bar, only with more spamming and less kick-ass emergency heals.

I think that this Glimmer+SS could be fun (spam heals^^) in PvE, where you are not required to be so precise with the healing. Maybe you can bring GoLE to power Aegis which would cost 10 en, but i can imagine that the reduction of energy granted by SS for the other spells will leave you with enough energy to cast Aegis. Maybe you can try to bring some party heal (the new Seed of Life for example).
